Barry Jahn
President and Founder.
Barry has spent equal parts of his career as a small business owner and as a Construction Contract Compliance and Inspection Manager for multinational construction and engineering companies.
He began his construction career in the 1970’s as an apprentice, rapidly progressing through the industry until receiving his first Contractor’s License in 1980. He founded Pacific Coast Flooring, a Redondo Beach, CA-based flooring contractor that same year and successfully operated that company until 1998, when greater challenges beckoned.
After receiving his American Petroleum Institute certifications in 1999, he entered the petroleum and process industries as piping inspector. By 2002, he had accumulated three API Inspector Certifications and became the Quality Contract Manager for the C-17 Fueling System Upgrade for the US Air Force’s $350 million project at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii. Barry directly supervised over 50 team members on that project.
The next stop for Barry was the North Slope of Alaska at the legendary BP/Exxon production facility where he served as the Inspection Project Manager with over 350 direct reports. Barry worked in Alaska until 2012, when he returned to Southern California. Since that time, Barry has split his time between developing the Jahndarosa Ranch, training his birds of prey and serving as one of the petroleum and process industries’ leading inspection and construction contract compliance consultants.
Barry lives on the Jahndarosa Ranch in the high desert area of Southern California. He is married with eight grown children, and has 15 grandchildren. He has been a committed Falconer for over 40 years, loves hunting and fishing and was formerly the Head Trainer to three national champion kick boxers.
