ENGINEERING & INSPECTIONS INTERNATIONAL, INC.

Sugar Grove, PA – March 2013 to Present

Special Projects Manager

Responsibilities include:

    • Manage construction and repair projects which includes above ground storage tank repair and modifications. Manage all aspects of mechanical contractor activities and assure work is performed per client mechanical and safety standards.
    • Manage construction terminal butane injection modification projects, which involve the installation of tanks, pressure vessels, piping structures and civil work.
    • Perform contract compliance assurance of all construction activities from pre-job to start-up.

MISTRAS GROUP

Prudhoe Bay, Alaska – October 2008 to December 2012

Project Manager

Responsibilities include:

    • Leadership and daily onsite management of North Slope inspection project, NDE Interpretation, Health / Safety / Environmental, and Quality Control Departments located in the Greater Prudhoe Bay / BP oil fields.
    • Developed and implemented the site-specific policies in partnership with client procedures. Tracking and reporting work performance to client, and assuring goals and targets are achieved. Hands on management of Continuous Improvement Programs.
    • Hands on management of personnel development programs assuring effective reward and advancement.

ENGINEERING & INSPECTIONS HAWAII, INC.

Hawaii – June 2007 to August 2008

Operations Manager

Responsibilities include:

    • Daily management of inspection scheduling and deployment of work force for API Inspections, Construction Special Inspections, and Non-Destructive Testing.
    • Project Manager on refinery turnarounds.
    • Project Manager on large Government contract projects involving API 653 and API 570 Inspections. Supervise NDE and Inspection crews during routine testing and inspections in Refineries and Power Plants.
    • Perform API inspections for process plants.
    • Provide QA/QC services for mechanical construction projects.

SAFECO SURETY, INC. (GCSI)

December 2004 to June 2007

Contractor Quality Control System Manager

Project worked on:

    • Replace Hydrant Fueling System at Hickam Air Force Base Hawaii.
    • Provide Project Contactor Quality Control Management for the construction of a Type III Hydrant fueling system.
    • Responsible for all aspects of construction quality for a $180M project, which included testing performed by sub-contract testing facilities (NDE, soils analysis, concrete testing), project Civil QC Specialist, and Project Mechanical QC Specialists.
    • Reported directly to Government Representatives (USACE) on all aspects of project completion and compliance to contract specifications.

NOVA GROUP, INC.

Hawaii – June 2004 to December 2004 Mechanical

Quality Control Specialists

Project worked on:

    • Replace Hydrant Fueling System at Hickam Air Force Base Hawaii.
    • Oversee all welding and non-destructive testing for above and below grade piping installations. Verified compliance of contract for the fabrication and installation of above ground storage tanks, pumps, valves, and all associated fuel systems components.
    • Performed 100% review of weld radiography.
    • Assisted Civil Quality Control with overseeing the placement of reinforced concrete, soils testing during backfill operations, and structural steel erection.

ENGINEERING & INSPECTIONS HAWAII INC.

Hawaii – Sept 2003 to May 2004 Mechanical Integrity Specialist

Projects worked on include:

    • Tesoro Refinery Hawaii, Hydrotreater turnaround and routine API 570 Piping Inspections. AES Hawaii – Outage Inspection Shift Supervisor.
    • H-Power – Outage Inspections Both Boiler and Turbine
    • Misc. In service and out of service inspections and or new construction of tanks, pipelines, boilers, and pressure vessel inspections throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Rim. Also works on various other call-out projects supporting various contractors and owners consulting on welding issues, operation issues, NDE, coating, and other related projects.

PACIFIC TECHNICAL SERVICES

Torrance, CA – Sept. 2000 to Sept. 2003

Inspector/NDT Tech

Inspector API 510, 570, and 653, NDT certified in the following disciplines: Level II in RT, UT, MT, and PT.

Projects worked on include:

    • ExxonMobil, Torrance, California, USA from Apr. 2002 to Sept 2003. Senior QA Inspector performing API inspections for above ground storage tanks, piping, and pressure vessels. Quality Assurance for new construction of above ground storage tanks, piping, and pressure vessels including inspections of re-enforced concrete foundations and footings.
    • Watson Cogeneration Plant Carson, California, USA from Dec. 2000 to Sept. 2001. Jan. 2002 to Apr. 2002. Duties at Watson Cogeneration Plant were Maintenance Turnaround and ongoing mechanical integrity Inspector on above ground storage tanks, piping, pressure vessels, firebox, and steam generation sections of gas turbine generators.
    • Coastal Petroleum, Aruba as third-party inspection for the Crude and Visbreaker unit re-build from Sept. 2001 to Jan 2002. Majority of inspection responsibilities on this project consisted of Quality Assurance for piping and equipment fabrication.
    • Various Refinery turnarounds and short-term Inspection / NDE projects.

LONGVIEW INSPECTION

Clackamas, OR – Nov. 1997 – Sept. 2000

Project supervisor

Supervised the Mechanical Integrity project at Weyerhaeuser Paper in Washington, USA.

Responsibilities included;

    • supervising NDT and CAD technicians,
    • short- and long-term project planning,
    • API 570 inspections,
    • QC of all reports,
    • Isometric drawings, and
    • customer relations.

 

Experience with Pulp and Paper Plant annual shutdowns as NDE Tech with inspections of Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Boilers, and Piping.
